“This image is a representation of the pursuit of light within my practice over the years. For a long time I waited patiently and responded to available light but in the studio setting I can create my own light or recreate available light. This is just one example of my use of reflective material experimentation to pursue specific qualities of light.”

I Won’t Be Here explores the linear movement of light, desire, and time. Using various photographic techniques within alternative process methods, reflective material, in-camera and darkroom manipulation in the pursuit of abstraction to create speculative narratives. This body of work is a non-representational response and visual analysis to objective and subjective ideas in photography as it relates to the individual lived experience of everyday life and internal contemplations.
